You can manage each survey by navigating through the different sections of the survey menu.
The menu is accessible from the Survey List, on the right side of each entry, and remains visible within the survey itself, at the top right.

Survey menu #

These are the sections and sub-sections composing the survey menu:

  • Questions: where you can create the questionnaire
  • Settings: where you can decide all settings for each methodology of research (CATI/CAWI/CAPI)
  • Management:
      • Contact management: in this section you can upload the list of respondents to be contacted and manage the available options.
      • Contact fields management: in this section you can create and manage respondent fields.
      • Quota management: in this section you can create and manage quotas.
      • Language management: in this section you can upload, export, and manage questionnaire translations.
      • Assign operators: in this section you can select CATI and/or CAPI operator profiles to be assigned to the survey.
  • Tools:
      • Export results: in this section you can export the collected data in different formats.
      • Quality control: a tool for reviewing and validating interviews, including a wide range of features.
      • Open-ended coding: in this section you can code open-text responses before exporting.
  • Statistics:
      • Survey activity: in this section you can monitor the progress of the survey.
      • Operator activity: in this section you can review data related to operators’ work.
      • CATI activity: allows you to analyze the history of activities carried out by operators in a specific survey.
      • Analysis and reports: section that includes advanced tools for response analysis and the creation of customized reports.
      • Crosstab: section with tools for multivariate analysis by cross-referencing two or more variables.
  • Quick links:
      • CATI interface: if the option is available you can open the questionnaire with CATI interface
      • CAWI interface: if the option is available you can open the questionnaire with CAWI interface

Survey status information and actions #

Some survey menu icons are displayed only in the Survey List.

  • Closed: indicates that the survey is no longer active and data collection has stopped.
  • Archived: indicates that the survey has been archived and is no longer available for operational management.
  • Test mode: an orange label that shows the survey is set in test mode.
  • Actions:
      • Duplicate: creates a copy of the survey.
      • Delete: removes the survey and all related data, including collected responses.
      • Archive: generates a .zip file of the survey, freeing up space in the IdSurvey database. For archived surveys, this button is replaced by Restore, which allows you to recover the data.
